the world lost one of the greatest guitar players in history. Who knows what the past 25 yrs would've been for SRV, his music, and his influence on music in general.

I don't know man, Warren Haynes on that Gibson Les Paul is not far behind.
But I do believe that his improvisational skills were probably the best of his era.

#1, or his first wife, is one of the best sounding guitars I've ever heard, no matter the time or place.
I was 20 when he died, in my first semester at LSU. I grew up in Clinton and Zachary, and I was only vaguely aware of who he was at that point. Hard to imagine that ever being the case.
