WOw I recall 1987-88 as the two years where I truly learned about music. MTV was blaring all day:

U2 -- I Still Haven't Found
INXS -- New Sensation
Guns N Roses - Sweetchild O'Mine
Poison -- Mama's Fallen Angel
Def Leppard -- Love Bites (one of their 16 videos that year!)
Europe -- Superstitious
The Smithereens -- House We Used to Live In
The Cult -- Love Removal Machine

And then all of those great 120 Minutes episodes!

GREAT TIMES.

More good ones from 87

Suzanne Vega--Solitude Standing (although I could go a lifetime without hearing Tom's Diner again)

Roger Waters--Radio K.A.O.S. (classic Waters)

Introducing the Hardline According to Terence Trent D'Arby (the dude tanked after this but this album was really good)

Sting--Nothing Like the Sun (his best in my opinion)

The Bodeans--Outside Looking In (still listen to this band all the time)

And...of course...Debbie Gibson's "Out of the Blue"

Love those, but reading this thread, it looks like 87 was pretty bad.
