After a family tragedy, Zack Snyder is stepping away from Justice League along with his wife following their daughter committed suicide. The film is currently in post-production. There is no word on whether he will continue with Justice League 2

With the movie in post-production, there is still work left to be done on the feature. As such, it has been announced that Joss Whedon will be filling in for Snyder to finish up the movie. Warner Bros. initially toyed around with pushing back the release date of Justice League, but the Snyders were not pleased with the idea. Instead, the duo opted to remove themselves from the feature for the time being to focus on their family and personal lives.

I know he gets alot of shite but man I can't fathom what he's going through right now. I have two daughters of my own and I'm not sure if I could go on if it was me. Godspeed.

i can't believe Marvel is letting Whedon do the post-production work on their biggest competitor's anchor film

After nearly ruining the MCU with Age of Ultron, I'd rather see the lynchpin of the MCU in the Russos' hands than his.

I've given him lots of shite, but my thoughts and prayers are with him and his family. Suicide is simply an awful thing to go through. I mean, just damn, this is just horrible.

How awful. I really feel sorry for the poor guy. And it sucks that he has to disclose such private news in order to stamp out potential rumors.

Side note: Whedon is done with the MCU. That's why he can do this and work on a Batgirl movie and Marvel can't say anything.

Good gracious. Prayers to him and his family. I can't imagine what that must be like to go through.

Snyder's work is basically done by now. All they're doing is finishing some special effects and getting the sound mix right. They can do that without him.

As LoTR said "No parent should have to bury their child." That poor family.

From what I read, they added a few scenes, but nothing major. No new characters, I'm pretty sure no new action scenes. It's probably the sort of stuff where some executive says they need a scene that cements the relationship between Flash and Batman or they need to better explain a villain's motivation.

It sucks that I can't be happy about Snyder leaving Justice league because the reasons behind it are shitty and tragic.

Prayers sent to Zack and his family. Suicide is one of the most devastating things that can break a family apart.

Didn't get the memo that Whedon is helming Batgirl over at DC?
