The sequel to Trainspotting came out last year. As I am the same age as they are and it looks at their life 20 years later after the original it’s kind of touching and oddly relateable. As was the round table afterwards with the actors involved

Just reading thru this whole thread, and it’s amazing the degree of subjectivity movies have

No Country for Old Men. One of the worst movies I've ever seen in my life.

Basically dislike any Paul Thomas Anderson movie.

Pulp Fiction and any Tarantino film. Cant stand a movie that bounces back and forth that much. Honestly I just dont like Tarantino. His movies suck.

I agree with you. Both are depressing, zero desire to ever rewatch.

Looper too.

Dances with Wolves
Birdman

Sex, Lies, and Videotape was only ok. too much implied sex and very little actual sex. Bit of Trivia: SLV was filmed in a house I rented in Baton Rouge. I couldn't move in until they finished shooting.

I'm a sucker for movies base on a true story but for me it's Remember the Titans.

I loved it at first but then realized it's a borderline cheesy musical.

Well yeah. That's the point of the thread. Your most hated "good" movie. So by it's nature this thread will have people declaring their hated for movies that most others hold with high regard.

Just saw Lady Bird last night.

God I hated that movie.

Hated, hated, hated, hated it. - to borrow from Roger Ebert's review of North...

Lady Bird - is one of the most unpleasant, contrived, artificial, cloying experiences I've had at the movies. To call it manipulative would be inaccurate; it has an ambition to manipulate, but fails.

Lady Bird is one of the most obnoxious Hollywood snide check the box Indie movie I've seen. It checks every Indie cliche box that Hollywood likes to promote in their agendas.

It's like they sat down with a Indie checklist and then tried to make a movie out of it.

I think Citizen Kane suffers from the fact that everyone who has seen it for the first time in the last few decades already knows the ending thanks to the internet and it showing up #1 on every greatest movies poll. Given the entire premise of the movie is figuring out what "Rosebud" means, it kinda takes the suspense and ultimate emotional payoff away if you know it before hand. It's like knowing the ending of Seven or The Usual Suspects. Yeah they're well made movies, but the final reveal is what makes them legendary.

Watched it and didn’t have the ending spoiled. The movie suffers from age and how far technology comes. Touch of Evil is a much better story yet Citizen Kane is so much more highly recognized. It was the technological improvements that made it so great at the time and it is hard to recapture perspective on how great it was for the time.

Made out an eod tech to be the second coming of John Rambo.

that's really not the point of the movie,I don't think. It was more of a character study and, in the end, about the effects of war on a normal husband and dad.
