Magneto is a steel worker in Communist Poland and has a nice country house w/ grounds and reindeer? Please. He would be living in a ghetto apartment w/ no money.

Perfect job.

Probably got promoted quick.

May have been his wife's land.

Yeah I think it makes perfect sense for Magneto to work with metal. It's kind of his thing.

also setting it in the 80s was dumb and added nothing to the plot except frick up your timeline even fur

The only thing it does do is allow for younger magneto and X. So i don't mind setting the movies back.

Magneto should have been close to 50, right? If he was in a concentration camp. Not sure about Xavier. 40s?

That's about right. Fassbender can play a late 40s-early 50s Magneto. Take it to modern times and it's back to old man Ian.

Perfect job.

Blue collar worker in communist '80's Poland is not a perfect job as he cannot use his powers.

Didn't look like he was a manager to me.

Its communist Poland in the '80's. No such thing unless she was a member of the gov't and she wasn't.

Watched it last night and noticed that the half drawn arrow accidently released killed both Magneto's wife and daughter. Physics does not agree.

I figured that given his strong link to metal, how he can feel it's presence and manipulate it, he probably liked being around it. There's never been anything said to that effect but it seems reasonable that he likes metal.

Not gonna lie, when I first saw the movie, I stopped and asked, "is his wife dead too? wtf?"

This movie was really bad, but not X3 or Origins bad.

Probably uses them all the time. Not obviously. He exposed himself in a panic.

Imagine if you ran a steel company and had magneto on your payroll. How could he ever really frick up?

He felt safe and secure till the one incident. Probably had funds stashed. Used all he had aquired to start a life and be "normal". Looks like he had been there for close to a decade.

Give it an R rating and cut off the final battle with the zombie Deadpool, and Origins is a really good movie.
