That wasn't a Marvel movie.

OP didn't stipulate as Marvel Studios. Hulk is a Marvel movie. Especially since Marvel Studios didn't exist when it was made. When Ang Lee's Hulk premiered, it was the definition of a Marvel movie.

Cap 1 is very good for what it was trying to do.

Which reminds me, the Hulk-buster space satellite armor fight between Iron Man and Hulk in Avengers was mindblowing waste of motherfricking time and story sidetracking.

It was a great fight though. It left me wondering why Iron Man doesn't always use that suit.

Does Elektra count? That was one of the worst things ever, not just counting movies

They could do a standalone Hulk movie if it was Planet Hulk. Thats about as good as it would get.

That story will already be told in some form later this year.

Elektra and Affleck's Daredevil look so bad I won't watch them. How do they compare with Halle Berry's Catwoman?

Daredevil and Elektra are like watching someone burn to death. With Catwoman, you're the one getting doused in gasoline as they set up the cameras around you.

I've always heard the director's cut of Daredevil is actually good but the original is so bad I don't want to watch it again to find out.

I didn't really mind Daredevil, but it was pretty weak (prior to Marvel hitting their stride with Iron Man). I can't remember which was earlier, that or Spider-Man 3, but the final battle sequence (banging on something to resonate sound and disrupt the fighter) was pretty much identical.

You people forgot the 80s into the early 90s when DC held shite down and Marvel was the one fricking things up.

Wow. That looks almost as bad as that 1990s FF4. Wtf was wrong with Marvel back then. I get the low budget, but couldnt they at least find an actor who looks like him and has a little muscle tone?

There was a few scenes I always thought were pretty cool. Like when Hulk takes on the tanks. But a lot of the movie wasn't too great. The end fight was surely anti climatic.

Elektra wasn't that bad. Daredevil was pretty bad though.

CA 1 was fantastic the first 40 minutes or so, then it went off the rails with over the top campiness.

I think that's way CA 2 was so awesome. People went in expecting the Rocketeer 2 and got James Bond in Goldeneye.

I think the reason CA 1 isn't loved is bc it's a long origin story mostly set in the 1940s. It lacks other super powered characters, and it lacks a lot of the Marvel action we love.

The one directed by Ang Lee... why people thought he could direct the HUlk is still a mystery to me.
