Just waiting for HBO Max to upload it.

Short review:

I think it’s solid, but absolutely would have worked better as a 4-5 episode mini series. Lot of thread points that were good but had to be rushed through and the main villain was essentially a emotional/moral challenge and not a physical one. Kristen Wiig should be a superstar already. She’s too old and likable, but she would have made a great Carol Danvers. Really interested to see how Patty Jenkins does working with Rogue Squadron, being that it’s a passion project for her.

Why do you always have to be the first one for the spoilers threads?

It was cool.

Couldve had better villains.

Seems like the reviews were accurate-

good, solid movie, solid concept, over-reaches at times.

I'm 1hr 1/2 in and it's just now getting some action. I felt like they spent the first 30-45 minutes telling us it's set in 1984. Pretty campy so far. CGI bad. Will DC ever get to the level of Marvel in movie making?

This is already at the level of Marvel considering most Marvel movies are goofy and full of too much CGI and plot holes. This had the same vibe.

But yea DC is pretty horrible, Wonder Woman should join the MCU as mostly they are good average movies.

I didn't think they laid it on too thick; most of that was Steve being wowed by modern tech.

I enjoyed Barbara's tale. I didn't mind Diana's, my son said it was getting mushy but that was kinda the point. It's the only thing she's ever wanted for herself.

Once again thought they did a good job with Steve. I feel a bit more confident with Patty Jenkins doing Rogue Squadron. I think she gets "pilots". Who knows, after watching the short clip on her talking about her father, maybe that's why she took WW ?

I thought it was a decent movie. Not a whole lot of rewatch value, though. As someone who ALWAYS preferred DC characters over Marvel characters, I am saddened that DC movies are so far behind the Marvel movies.

Three things:

1.) What did Kristen Wiig's character give up?

2.) A movie set in 1984 and not ONE GODDAMN 80s SONG in the whole movie? WTF?

3.) I forgave the makers for the above omission because of the mid-credits scene.

This was the one thing Captain Marvel did really well with.

Im trying to figure out how she flew all that time through the air from the White House only to go to her apartment at the Watergate to get her gold suit??

Also, how did no one know who Wonder Woman was? Did she just reappear after 60 years and skip WW2 etc???

Diana literally spelled this out in the movie. Remember how Barbara was on a first name basis with the homeless guy at the beginning of the movie and then told him to mind his business?

That first trailer used Blue Monday very well, I was hoping there'd be more like that in the actual film.

My thoughts exactly. I was very disappointed. It's pretty obvious the people that made this film didn't actually live in 1984 as adults or they would have done a better job on exploiting the 80's. The movie was silly at times and Wonder Woman was mostly the weakest character most of the time. The CGI was pretty lame, especially at the beginning of the film back on the Island Olympics. Maybe there will be a "Directors Cut" offered in this one as well.

I stopped half way to watch the football game. Hopefully it picks up because it has been very boring thus far.

I enjoyed the first one. This seems like a straight to video/Netflix superhero movie. And that’s being generous calling it that at this point.

Wiig and Pedro are laughably bad. Lamest villains of all time.

They use the song from Sunshine. Real original.

This movie was absolute trash. It actually got worse with the action. It’s Iron Man 3 on steroids.

2/10
