It's a top 5 personal favorite for me. But where would you slot it on the all time list? GOAT? Top 5? Top 20?

Weird troll attempt.

It's one of my favorites though...usually watch it every time it's on.

Top 5 for me too but I love Roman history so much I'm quite biased. To me though it's really well acted, written, and directed and still holds up very well. I also like the family dynamics and intrigue which makes it somewhat similar in tone to a gangster film.

Do you mean All Time Favorite Films or All Time Great Films? Because there is a vast difference.

Damn.

I'd have to go for Braveheart, but those are both in my DVD collection reserved for my all-time favorites.

I even had Braveheart on VHS back in the day.

I like Gladiator a lot, but when I think "What are my all time favorites?", this definitely doesn't come to mind.

Same with me. It's probably in my top 20.

I thought Cuba was good but the white kid was annoying.

Gladiator is a solid movie, and I really like it, but it is not on my list of all time greats.

While I like it a ton, I still prefer many other movies. Just in the epic historical battle movies alone (if that's how you classify them?) I have

Last of the Mohicans>Braveheart>Excalibur>Gladiator

Initial watch? I would say Gladiator.

Braveheart is much more re-watchable to me.

I loved Gladiator but I lose a little bit for it every time I see it. That has not happened for me with Braveheart.

nowhere close imo. It's a good movie, but it falls far behind Braveheart in that genre for me. I cant watch it without thinking of Braveheart.

I hate it when I'm looking through the guide and see "Gladiator" only to turn it on and see it's the Cuba Gooding Jr. version
