What's up with Spring Breakers?

I just rented this movie from redbox and was pretty pumped. I remember when it came out everyone was saying it was the next fight club and what not but this movie was a complete cluster frick. Everything was so unrealistic like even basic stuff like the christian stuff and the whole spring break idea. They even got frat parties wrong. I still don't even understand what the point of the movie was..

This is pretty much the impression that I am under. I think that the crack dealing persona is based off of Dangeruss. From the interviews, I think it's pretty apparent that the dude is an irl crack dealer and street gangster.
In contrast, Riff Raff seems a lot more like a pure entertainer. He doesn't seem like a real street person to me. However, Franco's character does look just like the guy.

The look of Alien is absolutely based on RiFF RaFF.
This is allegedly Franco's wardrobe for Alien, and there are clearly pics of Riff Raff on the wall.
As others have said the actual character may be more based on this dangeruss guy. However the "look at my shiiit" scene when they go to Aliens house definitely seemed like a reference to Riff Raffs "been had that" video.
