Usually movie ratings start out higher. With all the hype, the movie is a 26% RT and a 3.8 on IMDB.. and IMDB is typically easier on movie ratings.

Had low expectations but thought it was entertaining. Better than expected.

was Dakota Johnson really the best looking woman they could find for this movie?

this movie was seen as a steaming pile of shite by insiders and they had trouble getting people for both leading roles

Can you blame anyone for not wanting their name associated with this project

I would recommend Nymphomaniac 1&2 if you want a pretty unromantic look at sex. I thought I would eventually find the voiceover sermonizing irritatingly trite, but both parts kept my interest throughout.

If my wife was getting hot and bothered by reading 50 Shades, I'd consider myself a failure as a lover.

Ugh, I read these too. The writing is a little better than 50 Shades, but the story is stupid, the characters are annoying. Also, it was supposed to be a trilogy and at the end of book three the author has a page that says, "Just kidding! There's going to be one more book!!!"
frick you!!!!

Waiting for movie to start. Seriously....who the frick brings a 10 year old to this movie. I see a couple with their kid here...,and 4 teenage boys sitting a few rows behind us....maybe they are just here to see tits?

The New Yorker's review of the book said that it seemed as if the author wasn't writing in her first language.

Now that shite is funny

Ugh, I fricking hate when people bring kids to movies. I can't even remember the last movie I saw, but it was rated R and I went at like 9pm and a couple had a 3 year old there.
As a person who has kids, I understand that it's really hard to do things sometimes, especially if you don't have anyone around to help, but that doesn't excuse bad judgement.
I have no intention of seeing this movie in the theater. I'm sure I'll watch it when it comes out on Vudu. Jamie Dornan really does it for me.

I saw about 3 sets of mother/son combos walk out after the first scene of Wolf of Wallstreet

This. I admit, I read it. Had to see what the fuss was about. I swear the writer has a learning disability. She has the vocabulary of a fricking 6th grader...nevermind. I answered my own question. Considering the average IQ of American women is one dildo above potato, I now understand.

I suspect this movie and the book(s) it's based on will be remembered as the LOVE STORY of 2015. And with even fewer redeeming qualities.
