What is your go to show when you’re sad and just want to watch and feel better?

Some posters know what I’ve been dealing with recently, but I just turned on Psych and I could watch this forever and makes me feel better when I’m down.

It’s such a go to for me.

Taxi. The cabbies were usually down on their luck, but they always had each other.

Peep Show (funniest show of all time)
Arrested Development
Trailer Park Boys
Red Dwarf
Black Books
Mitchell and Webb Look (requires Youtube or a VPN these days)
The IT Crowd

I can also get sucked up in drama series and forget about what's bothering me. So I can add some non-comedies...

The Last Kingdom (not an elite show but extremely engaging and rewatchable)
The Wire (sucks you in every time b/c of its insane quality)
Game of Thrones (I'll feel better by season 5)
Detectorists (just light viewing and fun)

Plus the theme at the beginning has a bit of a melancholy feel and fits with that sort of mood.

Look at Cheers. Taken individually, almost every single character is not doing great. They’re all disasters.

But not when they go in Cheers.

The Office.

Considering I’ve probably seen every season 7 times it’s obviously been a sad state of affairs for me
