Will do. I might as well watch all of them. That should give me something to watch for quite a while.

Another one that doesn't get brought up very much, that I really like is "Lower Decks".

Came here to post this (even though "Inner Light" is my favorite, like most people's)

I also like the episode set in turn of the 20th century San Francisco.

Gotdamn what a cliffhanger. My favorite of all Star Treks.

I love the "There...ARE...FOUR LIGHTS." episode as well.

I also love the one where they encounter some sort of satellite that causes Picard to live an entire life on this planet and die there, only to then wake up back on the ship afterwards...so that he could know about this civilization that had died out long ago.

Yeah. Had almost forgotten that one. That was a great one.

Patrick Stewart hit it out of the park pretty regularly on the series.

And though at first it seemed like Data would be just a Spock rip off I thought in the long run his character was more tragic cause he wanted so bad to be human and in some ways it seemed like he was that and more but you could kind of tell he always felt something was missing. Brent Spiner did a good job with him.

The one where stupid Data tries to learn humor and fails miserably

Which made him very unlike Spock, who early on was often quite simply a supercilious bastard, who would use his superciliary features to give a sort of Vulcan facepalm.

I was a fan of the cross over episodes. Also, I really liked the last episode of the series where Picard is jumping between times.

I can see that viewpoint. But Spock did have the advantage of having a great foil in McCoy.

Yeah, the Data-Spock interaction on the Unification episodes was great (I think that's what they were called). Spock, the half-human half-vulcan, chose the Vulcan lifestyle so Data says something along the lines of, "in a way, you've rejected what I have always sought to become" (human)

Thanks, Commander Obvious (I think I said that - out loud - when I first watched the episode.)

Glad someone else appreciates Lower Decks

And "Inner Light" is just as good as Star Trek gets! Cool tidbit about that ep...Picard's son on there, is his son in real life

But, yet another example when TNG just cavalierly ripped off a TOS story (Elaan of Troyius - get it "Helen of Troy"?).

yes they ripped of numerous TOS plotlines, though sometimes in more subtle ways, Enemy Within seems like about half dozen of the TNG plots.

Of course the writing on Enterprise was even less original, but Berman was pretty horrid as a franchise pilot.

Poor Data. I think he only got to tap like 3 chicks the entire show. Even though he was "programmed in a a wide variety of techniques and many forms of pleasuring" or something like that. And one of those was the Borg queen.
