Ah got it. Yeah, I was noticing that almost every post was naming Louisiana movies.

SC doesn't have a lot of quantity with movies set here, but there is some quality. I would add Glory to my original list.

Full Metal Jacket
The Patriot
Glory

It is a shame that Forrest Gump was filmed in SC but set in Alabama. That would go to the top of the list.

Well, I don't know that I have a favorite. But I did think A Gathering of Old Menwas pretty interesting. And I thought it captured the look of the area and people and it sounded pretty close to the accents of the people in the area.

And it's been awhile since I've seen it but I think it also avoided going all one sided in it's narrative and at least tried to show different points of view.

Glad to see I'm not the only one that has seen/likes Alligator People. My sons think I'm an idiot.

Took place in Huntsville. A classic.

It's your favorite movie from the state yet you don't even know the name of it. Nice.

What's up man!

Movies filmed in Louisiana

Definitely some films missing on that list though.

I hate to agree with iPod with anything seeing as he has the worst taste in movies/tv of anybody who has ever lived but King Creole is #1 for me. Beast of the Southern Wild is up there. Looper is #2 if that counts.
