For me?

If I am to narrow down all of the amazing horror movies to my one all time favorite horror movie, I think I would choose:

Pet Sematary

Dawn of the Dead. The original. I love the post apocalyptic stuff. It really shows how society had deteriorated in the face of an easily beatable threat, and had some great gore.

gonna be honest...I don't get the love for Halloween. It's not scary. More ridiculous than anything.

The original Texas Chainsaw is a masterpiece and blows Halloween outta the water.

The Omen (1976). Creepy as hell and really well acted. Had me checking my neck for the 666 mark all through adolescence.

The Exorcist is the only answer for me. To be honest, most horror movies do nothing for me. I get more enjoyment from watching others get "jumpy".
