Does he just feel like his body of work is settled and can't be questioned to the point that he allows himself to be in terrible movies?

Doesn't give a shite anymore, just wants a check. Pacino and Willis are the same way.

How old is he now?

Maybe he just wants some easy money.

Doing like Gene Hackman. Knock out as many films as you can before you retire and disappear.

DeNiro is making some stupid movies though.

Hackman ended the last 5 years of his career with a pretty solid lineup. To say they were all money grab crap movies is unfair:

Welcome to Mooseport(2004)
Runaway Jury(2003)
Behind Enemy Lines(2001)
Royal Tenebaums(2001)
The Mexican(2001)
Heist (2001)
Heartbreakers(2001)
The Replacements(2000)
Under Suspicion(2000)

Deniro's last five years has 27 projects listed on IMDB, most of then crap.

Hackman was in 27 projects from 1990-2004.

Easy money. Why not?

His good movies are still good movies.

He acknowledges he does bad stuff though. I remember him doing a talk show and saying like - yeah Little Fockers was pretty terrible.

I liked The Family and The Big Wedding, truth be told <___<

He's either in love with money. Or in love with comedy. Maybe after Analyze This and Meet the Parents he got a taste for it?

He gets small roles in good projects like Silver Linings. He had a few classic DeNiro moments in that movie.

Enemy of the State wasn't bad either. That was 1998.

There are rumors that a major Hollywood movie star has a massive sports gambling habit. Always thought it was Pacino but easily could be Deniro

More likely Nicholson. He's been sitting courtside at almost every Laker home game for about 30 years now.
