It's a fan film and I like to watch them from time to time on YouTube. If you want to skip ahead, got to the 13:30 mark. These guys went the New 52 route... Kinda...

Too much. I don't think Leto's Joker is the answer either, though.

The more I think of Leto's joker, the less I like it. He acted like he was on x the entire time.

easily the worst of the incarnations we have seen. Great actor, just poor choices.

Yea, I can understand why a lot of his stuff was cut. I do think Leto can do better. Kind of like B&G just said, I think he and Ayer just had a bad vision for the character.

I think Ayer is just too street level, which works amazingly for his other films. The Joker just isnt that, and actually is the polar opposite of that. Nolan really nailed that part about the Joker hating organized crime and finding it so boring. He would never take part in it and run it.

To me it felt like they really wanted to use Harley (which I think they did justice), so they felt like they HAD to use the Joker and tried to fit that character into Ayer's tool box, which just didnt mesh.

That Joker is more Black Mask than anything.

I watched this the other night and kudos to them for having fun but dude was a terrible joker. In my opinion at least, just trying way too hard to be the Joker while not being the Joker all at the same time.

I honestly wasn't even sure Harley's bf was the joker at first.

Yeah, I think it really wasn't the Joker. I'm pretty sure he calls Harley by another name in that video. But it was loosely based on the two characters that's for sure. In the New 52 comics, the Joker cuts his face off in a similar fashion and reattached it with a belt. I wonder what a live action Joker would look like with Hollywood standards.

This, I was telling my wife I couldn't think of any incarnation of The Joker where he would give a frick about being considered basically a Don...

I'm a fan of Snyder's work in the new 52, but that's always been a horrible try-hard Joker iteration.
