Love the older war movies and looking for a some I’ve never or have and have forgotten about. Midway, Porkchop Hill, Sands of Iwo Jima, etc. Thanks!

Platoon and Shaving Ryan’s Private are both solid.

Red Dawn for true old school is great as well. Never watched Midway before but heard it’s great

Here comes the Navy ... with James Cagney. Some of the footage of the movie was shot aboard the USS Arizona a few years before it was sunk at Pearl Harbor.

Tora, Tora, Tora... and The Longest Day both awesome and accurate.
A bridge too Far was killer too.

Not to thread jack, but I watch a 3 part series from the German point of view called "Generation War" it was pretty good.

And I can tell which one sucked - Fury.

Wind Talkers, we were soldiers, saving private Ryan, hacksaw ridge. I watch them when they pop up. Hacksaw Ridge was amazing when you realize it’s based on the true story. Guy was truly unbelievable.
