ETA: Suspect (1987) IMDb

What;s the name of the one with Cher and Dennis Quaid. Quaid was great as a lobbyist and the ending is good.

I saw inherent the wind last week. It was still entertaining, and worth a watch. Even had Bo and Luke's uncle Jesse in it.

Haven't seen it in a long time, but was that really a trial movie? Definitely a legal drama, but was there an actual trial? ISTR the kid wanted anything but to testify at trial. "The mob never forgets."

There are seminal works such as Inherit the Wind(my favorite), To Kill a Mockingbird, Twelve Angry Men, Judgment at Nuremberg, etc.
but I find that they pale in comparison with the masterworks of From the Hip and Soul Man.

The reviews were crap so almost didn't watch. Not the best but did anyone think "The Whole Truth" was decent entertainment? It was a lot better than I thought it would be.

I was coming here to post this. I saw this in the theater and was pleasantly surprised that the movie is a courtroom drama more than a horror flick.

Just watched The Verdict. Great movie, but that spy bitch really pissed me off.

Also, I felt that the actual verdict was bullshite given the evidence that was actually allowed in court. Other than for storytelling purposes, I'm not sure how the jury could legitimately arrive at the verdict that they did.

One funny note....the end credits lasted like 15 seconds. This is on the full release and not a cable version that sped the credits up. It's crazy to think how complicated movies are now compared to movies from the 80s and earlier.
