I was disappointed with humanity when I watched it the first time. Been jaded ever since.

Why? Even in the face of evil, good people will stand up and overcome. That's the advantage that "good" has. Good people will fight for others oppressed and for their principles way harder than someone with bad intentions will fight for their individual desires. Yes, their is evil in humanity, but I think there is way more good than evil. Unfortunately, evil always gets a head start and is less encumbered by morals and more willing to resort to violence. But in the end, they always get that arse handed to them.

Unless they're really rich and controlling everything from behind the scenes while keeping their hands clean.

Yep.
Seeing shows like this and maybe having young adults go volunteer for a year in a very poor part of the world would really help to enlightened our spoiled narrow minded society to how the world really can be a fcked up place.
Anything to help people appreciate what a great thing we have in this country.

I will never understand how and why they never just stopped allowing themselves to be pushed around. What the hell? They had more people than the Nazis!

When you're stripped, beaten, and threatened with death everyday, as are all your friends, it's probably hard to rebel against armed guards.

First, the Jews were disarmed. That's how.

firearms-registration records to identify, disarm and attack “enemies of the state,”

And they did fight back at Belzec, Treblinka and Sobibor death camps.

Watched it once. That was enough for me

Forever.

I agree it should be mandatory viewing in school at the appropriate level

No shite, I know they took the weapons from them. But come on, they could've done something.

Like die at a 1200-1500 round per minute rate?

It's hard to have a chance against firearms if you've been stripped of yours first.

Great movie. I visited dachau a few years back. The film they show there before the tour makes Schindler's list look mild. It was very interesting to see but a very somber experience to say the least.
