I watched it yesterday and I'm watching it again. Awesome movie.

How long do you think he actually spent in the Twilight Zone? To get that good at piano has to take at least a few years.

I like this guy's estimate better. Seems to go much more in depth. LINK

It's much longer than that by other estimates. While Ramis said on the DVD it might be 10 years, he's retracted that and said it could be 30 or 40 years.

And I love this damn movie.

Are you stuck in a loop too?

Watched it last night. Of all the times I've seen this movie, I can't believe it took my 11 y.o. daughter commenting "Is this the movie where the groundhog dances?" to make me connect it to the gopher on Caddyshack. It's like the little furry brown creatures have it in for Bill Murray!

I always had a question, the days he just wakes up and kills himself; does he instantly wake up again? Or does the day go on as if he killed himself?

Damn.

People put some serious thought into that stuff.

My favorite movie.

Love the philosophical questions it brings up.

When I was watching this earlier I wondered if someone would make a post about it. I said minimum of 10 years, but I know Ramis guesses between 30 and 40. In an original draft of the script it had him going 10,000 years.

Love the movie and have watched it many times, but somehow that question never occurred to me.

The day continues because one scene, McDowell identifies his body in the morgue.

AMC ran the same commercial for Groundhog Day three times in a row the other day.

I thought that was hilarious and genius on their part.

Likewise. Definitely in my top 5. Bill Murray is great and the script and supporting cast were awesome.
