It sucked. I don't necessarily mind the changing of the story, but my gosh the movie was just ugly looking. I understand that was the point in the beginning, but it was kind of a turnoff at first.

i'm convinced you must have aspburgers or tourettes or some sort of mental deficiency that prevents you from making comments against Christianity. Do you feel better at yourself for being "edgy" and showing us Christians that you are superior to us because you don't have faith?

You do realize that your mindset isn't edgy, isn't revolutionary, and only makes you look like a condescending assbag. Congrats.

I didn't finish watching it, it was that awful. I think the director made too much of an effort to deviate the the Biblical aspect of the story.

In one of the first scenes, where the animal was shot; could they not have chosen an animal like a deer or a dog rather than something that looked like a bad acid trip.

Also, I never remember the name "God" being spoken. Only Creator, am I wrong on that?

The entire book of Esther has no mention of God.

I made it about 20 minutes in and gave up, but the wife said she enjoyed the story.

Also there is no conscious effort to call "God" by another name either.

They didn't refer to Odin by name either (even though he was in the movie for some reason).

Is the WTF a good thing or a bad thing? Probably a bad thing though because I thought this movie was pretty damn awful.

I said the majority of the hate was because of the direction of liberties it took.

See: the derisive mentioning of the angels/rock golems that occur in EVERY thread about this movie. Literally the only basis for being derogatory to their inclusion is from a bias to the original story.

They are no more absurd (and less absurd than many) elements of movies today that goes without comment.

The rock creatures were absurd for more than just them not existing in the Biblical story.

There was a lot of good in this movie (specifically Noah's conflict of having God order him to save creation but not humanity) but it took a turn for the absurd too often as it tried to become an action movie.
