Go read my Dec 17th post in the review thread. I actually thought Ridley was the best part of the movie.

Sure, before the movie, I had some concerns about tired social programming, but that's because JJ is an SJW who holds Obama fundraisers in his home.

And if you go cruise the IMDB board for TFA, you'll see that my opinion is not singular.

I agree with you. I guess I wasn't clear.

Dan wasn't a troll. He just wasn't a very good poster and it seems like he was more interested in Post Count than quality.

There is a group-think mentality.

It's hard to post on this board because it's like the Little Rascals...our gang.

You are either part of the "club" or "haters club" or not.

And the two gangs fight. There's no middle ground or welcoming on this board.

It's very incestuous and cold.

The SEC Rant puts them all to shame.

But that is kind of what that board is designed to be (whether intentional or not). Anytime you put fans with enough interests in there teams to participate on a chat board with other fans of different teams with the same interest level, it's bound to be plagued with trolls, butthurt, and over the top bragging. It is what it is.

But I've always though the M/TV board was pretty good when it comes to a lack (or lesser amount) of trolling. Now there is a tendency for people to continually harp on their views, especially when it is opposition of the majority's views (like TFA, South Park, and Walking Dead). But I think that is more of a fact of people can't accept that the majority doesn't view the movie or show like they do, and not intentional trolling.

Now the one place where obvious, and intentional trolling occurs on this board is when book/comic readers try and throw spoilers into a non-spoiler thread. But that is really the only instance that I can think of where actually trolling occurs.

What a crock of shite. I always specifically state why I like or don't like something.

You are far closer to a stalker troll as you just proved.

You people take any criticism as a personal attack. There are very few movies I have outright hated.

In the last 5 years, I've only ripped on about 10 movies. Yeah, that is trolling. I guess I'm just super subtle.

Furthermore, it isn't just criticism. If you don't agree that every movie is the best thing ever produced, some of you get your panties in a wad.

It is possible to love of movie, enjoy 95% of the movie, and still think there was a flaw you want to discuss.

Not really. Since I hate everything a little bit, I don't get upset when a troll says something sucks. About the worst I will do is ask them to explain what they didn't like.

Ace gets me from time to time with his over the top hatred of New Trek, but he at least explains everything...even though he is wrong.

It isn't just his hatred of BSG. It is his refusal to even watch it.

Given the small amount of good Sc-Fi, it really is mind boggling he won't even watch 33.

I'm old. I grew up on Trek reruns and the original BSG. New BSG is so far superior to the original that it isn't even fair to consider them in the same genre.

And... I initially hated the idea of a female Starbuck as much as he does.

I still think it is. I think our tolerance to differing opinions has changes.

We are all less tolerant. Seems like as society FORCES people to become more tolerant, the inverse is happening. But that is a topic for the poliboard.

I watched 3 seasons of it. It was okay, but I don't get the love for it.
