Woooowwwwww. My buddy has been telling me to watch this show for three years now and I kept putting it off. I'm now half way done with season 2 and I'm pissed I didn't start it sooner. This show is great. I always assumed it would be super cheesy, being on History Channel, but it's surprisingly done well.

The development of the Ragnar character and the way dude plays him are top notch.

He's always smirking or smiling. I'm trying to decide if the actor has a slight tick or if they told him to act that way.

It's really a top notch series. I too wasn't sure what to expect from a History channel show, but it's better than 95% of the other shows on tv. The acting is very good, the pace is good, and the story is very intriguing. It's a bit of a niche program due to subject, but it's outstanding. It gets better every year.

Every time Floki's on screen, I can't help but do the "Floki giggle", that high-pitched tee-hee that he does, and I'm disappointed when he doesn't do it.

The first time Floki was on screen I thought to myself who the frick is this scrawny little whack job. Then when they go to the priests area I was like this whack job is a badass.

My friend that got me to start watching just told me that season 5 is by far the worst. This gives me a sad.

I don't believe they are in season 5 yet. I think the current episodes are season 4.5
Regardless, they are awful compared to previous seasons. The first 2 seasons I was glued to the set, season 3 I had my iPad in my lap, ocassianlly checking on things. Season 4 i'm on the iPad mostly, briefly looking at the tube. I wouldn't call it unwatchable, but it's close
