1st episode meh, second was great..awkward laughing at the house destruction, particularly the kicking in of the family portrait in today's day and age

Exactly so.

First one was mediocre (in the sense that most pilots are mediocre) - certainly nothing for me to dislike, it did its job laying down the foundation but E2 was all about Lee.

And I appreciate that Gamby won't simply be just Kenny Powers v2.0 as E1 implied that he might be. He's more down-to-earth and reserved here.

Literally everything is perfect. The scene with the kids in the McBride's office after the fight? And his utter incompetence? Spot on. The back-stabby administrators? Spot on. The teachers bitching, but not willing to actually do anything, or put their name on anything? Spot on. The cafeteria worker? Spot on. It's pretty fantastic.
