like most said, good not great. kind of dragged on for a pilot episode. its going to be a thin line between mcbride playing this character and kenny powers.

I enjoyed it. Goggins' flamboyancy is hilarious.

His slow walk across the parking lot at the end was awesome.

It's like we are watching an Eastbound and Down remake where Kenny Powers decided to pursue his career in education. I thought it was great. I used to hate Danny McBride. The first few times I saw Pineapple Express, I thought Red was so annoying. After watching Eastbound and Down, I find everything he does hilarious. Can't wait for more Vice Principals. I'm gonna rewatch the first episode tonight.

Didn't expect them to team up in the first episode though

My wife hates him because I laughed so hard I puked in the theater at his scenes in this is the end.

Worst part is I puked into the popcorn bucket and just tossed it down the aisle and kept watching the movie.

I would love this show if Kenny Powers had never existed. I can't help but compare the two when watching

Same. But it has me watching Eastbound and Down again. That first episode is one of the funniest things ever filmed.

Eastbound and Down was the same way. They added a final season later because of popularity.

So, I guess Danny McBride can only play 1 character. It was basically season 1 of Eastbound and Down with Kenny Powers the PE teacher promoted to Vice Principal.

And yes, it was still pretty damn funny.

Guessing you missed the sick arse performance he put in as a pyrotechnician in Tropic Thunder.

I thought it was solid, not great but not bad. It has a lot of potential.

The wife and I watched it last night, she was laughing her arse off and she HATED Eastbound. I think Goggins' character is the perfect mix with McBride's. I think it's going to be funny.

That clip they showed from next week I can't stop laughing at.
McBride "What a dump"
Goggins "That's my house motha fricka! It's a mid century ranch!"

Danny played a poor, white trash guy in Minnesota in "Up In The Air"

But yeah, he doesn't really have much range

Idgaf though. This show was hilarious.

While I don't fully agree with this, I will absolutely watch the Kenny Powers character do anything.

I hope they keep the show going. I'm tried of HBO making absolutely amazing 1 or two season shows that get canceled.

Goggins has the best "mutha fricka" in the business now. Better than Samuel L Jackson or anyone else. No idea why this stood out to me. I laugh every time he says it.
