I thought the ending was weak. I was hoping for more action, but at a sacrifice to the story. Just some more intense fighting scenes.
Well made. topical. good acting.
What more can you ask for?

The movie has several spectacular moments:
1) When burned and deformed "#5" steps out of the burning torture hospital
2) Evey says "God is in the Rain" and raises her hands on the balcony
3) Evey and V's dance scene
4) The entire anti-lesbian/discrimination story... just seemed so real and touching
5) The Domino Montage
The parts are as good as the whole- some scenes are unforgettable and a joy to watch.

Two awesome quotes by V in that movie. The opening line he delivers to Natalie Portman with all the alliteration and repetitive Vs is awesome.
Then when he's surrounded by Creedy and his guys and he Creedy says something like "all you have are your knives and your karate, we have guns". V says (not exact):
"No Mr. Creedy, what you have are bullets and the hope that when you run out of them I will not be standing for if I am you will all surely be dead before you're reloaded".

Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, vanguarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.
The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.
Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that its my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

I remember watching it when it first came out and thinking it was good but maybe a bit far fetched, typical dystopian society where everything is awful, etc. watched it a few months ago for the first time since its release and thought, "this is uncomfortably realistic..."

I always appreciated V's understanding that being the instrument of violent change and revolution, he has no place in the world after. It was up to the people to create a world from the ashes, not the man who set the fire.
