My submission is Andy Serkis. People pretty much dismiss his performances due to the fact that they're often motion captured and interpreted through computers. Aside from his pupil size constricting/expanding, pretty much all of it is Serkis' performance really. Definitely think he's a fantastic actor, and if it were just prosthetics instead of motion capture, he would have for sure not only been nominated, but won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in The Two Towers.

What are some of your picks?

Delroy Lindo

No reason behind it. I just like saying his name and most of the movies he's been in.

Carey Mulligan, i'd like to see her in more stuff.

Jeremy Renner, but I think he is making his way up now.

Karl Urban (from Star Trek and LOTR) and Cillian Murphy (Inception and Batman Begins)

JOSEPH GORDON LEVITT??? I doubt anybody has heard of him though.

Serious though I'd go Casey Affleck, Sam Rockwell and Guy Pierce. Though I don't know if Pierce could be considered underrated anymore or just plain top notch.

Mark Ruffalo.

Not saying that he's the most ranged actor, but he's always solid in every role he plays in. The Brothers Bloom is something everyone needs to check out.

Ted Knight deserved an Oscar for Caddyshack.

Paul Giamatti should be one of the highest paid actors in Hollywood.

Matt Dillon. Underrated, especially in comedy roles.

How so? He's always making really good indy and smaller budget flicks. You want to discount him just because of Iron Man 2?
