Preface - this discussion is for the first movie in the Twilight series.

It has been nearly 16 years since this movie was released and I will readily admit that I absolutely abhorred the movie in the beginning but over time my hate has subsided. The soundtrack is fricking fantastic with tracks from Radiohead, Paramore, Collective Soul and Linkin Park. Is it Citizen Kane, absolutely not. Is Kristen Stewart's acting a little rough, without a doubt.

Is this an easy watch with your wife/SO, frick yes! Does this movie feature a beer-drinking sheriff who likes to brandish firearms, you're goddamn right.

This movie received a lot of hate but it is by far the most enjoyable in the series and can stand on it's own. I can't be the only person that actually enjoys watching this movie even with all of the teenage-angst. I believe that the parody of this film titled "Vampire's Suck" has granted me a greater appreciation of the film.

Am I off of my rocker or does anyone else agree on this movie?

For your trouble.
Pre-fame Anna Kendrick:

Rosalie also a welcome sight:

This movie is only worthwhile paired with the RiffTrax to it. Seriously, skipping watching this clip and just buying the audio file turns a shitty movie into one of the best comedies of the past decade

With regard to your first pic

Ive got a burned DVD with this all synced up, plus the next three movies. It makes watching Twilight a true joy.

It's not great but I enjoyed the series, but I enjoy most vampire movies.
And Ashley Greene looks awesome:

Mormon Vampires. I can’t think of anything more retarded to do with the genre.

Ashley is fire. She looks awesome in those Halmark Christmas movies she has done. Finest one out of the Twilight bunch.

Twilight was not a terrible movie, but the hype it got was undeserved.

The girl I was crushing on gave me the book to read before it became such a huge thing and I liked both it and the movie. I'm an old school vampire fan so the actual vampirism was fricking idiotic but I liked the northwest gloomy setting and the score by Carter Burwell was fantastic.

It typecast Robert Pattinson for a while. Seems like it took him a decade to start to shake it (Tenet, The Batman), even though he had some other more obscure roles between then and the Twilight series that displayed his abilities. He really is a great actor.

Far better film. Should have started a discussion about it.
