I'm a binge watcher myself. One hour is never enough for me.

People have their own preference. True Detective, Daredevil, Fargo, etc are more like mini series IMO. All of the episodes feel like one big movie. I just like watching them all together.

This is a good point. I kinda feel you on TD but I think it probably gets HBO more viewership overall.

Everything I've seen about season 2 feels wrong

From the promo where the actors are clearly doing some cheesy promo shoot that's not part of anything that happens, to the music, it all feels wrong. all of the grainy, movie like quality of the picture is gone

This one feels like an oncoming turd

Holy mother of frick that is no way to treat two of the greatest dramas of the century by shoving autistic True Detective next to them .

But for real the next time you list TV shows, maybe don't put Daredevil in a grouping with some of the best television series airing at the moment.

You think Pizzolatto would roll out something that he doesn't like himself? He is a novelist, and it shows in his screenplays. It will be extremely well written, but you have to understand that the first season wasn't done like any other TV show ever. Season 2 will not feature the same director for every episode, so it will almost certainly "feel" different.

With all of that being said, it will still probably be one of the best seasons of any TV series to air this year.

I have incredible faith in the writing, but it looks like last season's director (who deserved equal praise) has moved on because this doesn't even look like it's in the same stratosphere

I don't know anything, all I've seen is the promo that's been running for a while and it just feels wrong

I had this sense that it couldn't possibly suck, then I saw the promo and thought "what if it sucks?"

I decided not to look at it as the same show at all. I don't think comparing the two is even a fair thing to do in this case (and I know it's a weird case).

Vince Vaughn and Rachel McAdams are both incredible selections imo, but this season won't just focus on two characters. I think the scope to this season will be much larger. I can't wait.

I'm not going to hold it to the same standard as season 1. The cast & plot for this season have me pretty pumped.

It would take something absolutely legendary to top the two guys in Season 1.

No it's not. There's something to be said for week to week anticipation as it relates to marketing

It's good to have people talking about your show every week for a longer period of time

I'm not comparing the two, but a standard has been set in terms of quality. They got big names on a down swing. Now it turns out Matthew mcconajdjhfhf has acting chops. I know Vince Vaughn does. But then there is also RA and CF aaaaaand Taylor kitsch or whatever

He's sucked in everything he's ever been in

There are a lot of red flags going in

The weird network like promo
New director
More variables in the cast
More central characters
