I would post the plot line from A New Hope in this thread

Unfortunately, if I did, then the post would be deleted for including "spoilers".

Finally saw Star Wars TFA

A new hope is renewed in Star Wars!!!!!!!!

The twist, the dynamic, in this one is just as good, if not better.

Overall an awesome reboot, and I'm glad my kids got to see it. They will think it's better of course and I'll have to stick to my guns and say 4-6 ESB goat.

Saw it today, absolutely loved it. My kids thought it was cool, but they grew up in jarjar era. I'm old school era. They did a great job on this one. Story was great, graphics were perfectly matched not overpowering the story, characters were great..awesome show. Glad I saw it in IMAX 3D.

A B level movie with great special affects and Harrison Ford. I will see the follow up movies, but horrible acting at times.

Saw it again, liked it even more.

No spoilers here, just simple explanation about enjoying it:
The first time I saw it, there was trepidation that it would be a flop, a disappointment. It isn't, and that allowed for the second viewing to be done for sheer enjoyment.

On the second take, there are more layers than you initially realize. It's really a solidly crafted movie, with a lot of attention to detail.

Maybe I was expecting to much. I was rather disappointed. C movie to me.
Carrie Fisher was pathetic!

There is this weird dissonance with this movie.

It didn't feel like a real movie - but some fan homage.

Most of it didn't ring true - it was like red carpet affair...and way too obvious rings back to A New Hope.

It's not a bad movie-going experience - it just feels like it's just fandom and not a real movie. Everything is homage in the movie.

It's sentimental - and works on that level, I guess -

But doesn't work as a real movie. The story is thin as ice.

It was nice for the fans - but it's nothing to be remembered like Empire or the original.

Saw it on Christmas, was OK but nothing special. Like some have said it was a remake of 4-6.

Only if it's shown in IMAX to get the sound, too.

I offer you this explanation from another poster which is really good (linked on the SPOILER thread so click at own risk).

quote:

It's flawed, which the OT is as well, but it's everything it needed to be to reboot the franchise. As far as a soft reboot is a concerned, it's pretty much flawless. This is a huge investment on Disney, and they had to have an opening product that put the faith back in the franchise with the fans, all while introducing likable new characters and making it familiar to the audience. In the next movies, they'll take more chances and put the Star Wars mythos to a new and unprecedented level the series hasn't been before. It was everything I was hoping for, and expect Episode VIII to be equal or as good as Empire. This wasn't, but it didn't need to be either. It was exactly the film it needed to be.

LINK

ETA did you notice the first spoken line of the film? It pretty much sums it all up.

Is there anywhere online I can rent Revenge of the Sith and Attack of the Clones? Everywhere online seems to only make it available to purchase for $20. I Saw TFA yesterday and I liked it! It was funnier than I remember the other movies being. I want to go back and do a rewatch of all the movies but I can't seem to do that without paying a lot money.
