Highlander franchise. Terrible after the first movie

I would be really interested to see old movies remade.. Batman Begins was the best thing to ever happen to that character.
But there is so many books out there to be used as source materials.. I know there's plenty of John Grisham, Dan Brown, Michael Chrichton, etc. stories to be used.. And those are just aurthors I'm familiar with.
Eta: Seth Grahame-Smith, hopefully Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter doesn't let me down.. Done right it could be awesome or it could be a complete failure.
