I don’t think Lalo planned for Jimmy offering Kim instead, but who went was immaterial to him.
He just wanted to get Tyrus out of the laundromat so he could infiltrate it.
He didn’t plan for Gus to figure out that Lalo could never be talked out of anything.
So Gus will surprise him at the laundromat and shoot him with said hidden gun.
Edit: I didn’t give Lalo enough credit there. He and Gus were equally brilliant combatants

also I suppose this kind of answers the why did jimmy ask if lalo sent them in the desert question one way or another.
1) jimmy knows lalo is dead - he was playing dumb as if it never happened. (likely)
2) jimmy cant put 2+2 together and thinks lalo is still out there. (not likely)
