Understand that if your list is a long one, it will take a little longer for me to update the main list with them. But I do appreciate the time put into this.

Sitcom: Arrested Development.

If someone enjoys Seinfeld, community, the office, and parks and rec which are on the list, it'd be almost impossible not to love AD as well.

This board is seemingly the only place were John Carpenter isn't totally under appreciated. Any one of or all of these 3 movies are essential on this board:

The Thing (first and foremost - greatest remake ever made)
Halloween (this, Psycho, Night of the Living Dead are essential horror films)
Big Trouble in Little China

I don't see any Chaplins listed:
City Lights
Modern Times
The Great Dictator

No Bunuels listed:
The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie
Viridiana
Belle de Jour

To go along with Raiders, these Spielbergs are essential:
Jaws
Saving Private Ryan
ET
Jurassic Park

Only one Stanley Kubrick listed, these are essential:
A Clockwork Orange (essential scifi)
2001 (essential SciFi)
Full Metal Jacket (on this board at least)
The Shining

Essential Horror Comedy:
Dead-Alive (Braindead) - as fun as it gets
Evil Dead I and II
The Return of the Living Dead
An American Werewolf in London
Gremlins

Popular Terry Gilliams on this board:
Brazil (essential scifi/comedy)
Monty Python and the Holy Grail (essential comedy)
12 Monkeys
Time Bandits (essential fantasy)

Westerns:
The Searchers (The western)
The Wild Bunch
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance
A Fistful of Dollars
The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
High Noon
Once Upon a Time in the West

Apocalypse Now is every bit as essential as The Godfather I and II, even more so according to Roger Ebert.

I'm pretty sure we in fact did do that here.
