What's your idea of a quality superhero movie then, x-men 3?

The top tier of superhero movies are

Iron man 1, Avengers, Thor 2, X-men First Class.

Not that it was directed towards me, and even though I liked those four, I don't consider any of them top tier.

Iron Man 1 isn't very rewatchable for me. Starks character gets old and there isn't an interesting villain.

I can see why people love Avengers, it just didn't do it for me.

Thor 2, good. Top tier, nah.

I liked X-Men First Class too but of all the X Men movies I'd say maybe X-2 would be the only one I see as one of the best superhero movies of all time.

Batman Begins
TDK
X-2
Sin City
Batman (90's)

Maybe Superman 2, TDKR, Watchmen, and something I'm forgetting I'm sure.

Iron Man 2: Certainly.

Spider-Man 2: not even close. This movie and the Avengers is what a comic book movie should be. Thor 2 was just ok. Not bad, not great, just ok. Spider-Man 2 was the way you do it in a sequel with a superhero. The Dark Knight is obviously great, but its more of a crime drama than a comic book movie.

I don't see how any fan of film can say that Jeff Bridges is boring.

Everyone always talks about the great divide between IM1 and it's successors- well the only two things that changed in between those movies- Terrance Howard and Jeff Bridges.

Bridges was great as Obadiah Stone. The Iron Monger suit was silly, sure but the climax of that movie was just as good as any superhero movie out there (and the climax was better than TDK)

X2 was probably the high point for the X-franchise. I didn't love First Class.

I didn't say Jeff Bridges was boring. The bad guy was a giant Iron Man, not that special. Iron Man 2 got the villains right, the movie overall just wasn't as good.

I guess I should have mentioned those were just some of my favorites, wasnt trying to say those were the best of the best.

I think we are splitting hairs. Jeff Bridges character Obadiah Staine was the villain. Before he ever got into the Iron Monger suit he was revealed to be a villain and attempted to kill Tony twice. You're complaining about the costume, I agree it wasn't great. The villain, however, was.

Staine is the Evil Mentor sort of villain, much like Ra's Al Ghul in Batman Begins. He was a great villain, one whom I'd love to see in flashbacks in a fleshed out MCU.

First off, if there was a NERF party, I'd be the leading role. WalMart in bossier made a killing of my parents. I was the only kid in my neighborhood who had the machine gun. Secondly, did I not knowingly run over your puppy or something? I'm sorry if I did.

While they weren't nearly as expensive as nerf toys, I spent quite the small fortune at the drug store in Coushatta buying comic books. I had a tab I paid at the end of the month!
And you probably ran him over in a flaming golf cart!

It's way behind The Dark Knight. Also X2, Batman Returns, Superman 2(80's) > Thor 2. I like the old Batman and Superman better than most though.

Nope. It's right in that group. Great sequel.

Thor 2 is up there with avengers and iron man 1 as best super hero movie nominees

Only Iron Man 1 belongs in that category along with The Dark Knight trilogy. The first two Spiderman movies were also very good. I enjoyed The Incredible Hulk with Norton, but the Marvel movies have always seemed underwhelming to me, including The Avengers. Iron Man basically carries that movie.

Man of Steel was better than most of the Marvel movies too, IMO. They all suffer from weak villains, weak plots, and costumes that look like something you'd see some geek wearing at Comic-Con.
