Which have you seen, and what is your opinion?

Only one I've seen is Hell or High Water, and while I enjoyed it very much, I'm not sure it's worthy of a Best Picture Oscar.

I've seen:

Arrival
Hell or High Water
La La Land
Moonlight

Hell or High Water would get my pick out of those four.

I've seen Hacksaw Ridge and La La Land. I liked Hacksaw Ridge more but La La Land was fantastic.

Right now I would go with Manchester by the Sea. Very painful movie but also extremely funny for dealing with the subject matter. Second would be Arrival, which was an awesome move and shocked Amy Adams didnt get nominated for best actress.

Arrival was terrific (but I'm biased for that kind of story), and Manchester By the Sea was wildly overrated (pretty sure I'm being objective here)

Yeah, Hell or High Water was the only Best Picture nominee I've seen this year as well. The plot wasn't anything special but it was a very well-executed film. The acting was outstanding. Jeff Bridges was unrecognizable in his role.

Moonlight
Arrival
Hacksaw ridge
Hell or high water
La la land

Will catch all the others before the awards show. So far I enjoyed Arrival the most. But La La Land was more of a "best picture" type of movie.

This one is a tough one as I equally loved Arrival, Manchester, and Moonlight and really enjoyed La La Land and Hell or High Water

Of all the ones I have seen LA LA LAND is the best, but still not very good compared to most years. Genius is a better movie. Arrival is also good.
