The only thing that has ever scared me from a movie is Ernest Scared Stupid from when I was in like 2nd grade. I had nightmares for a few months.

A Serbian film

The guy rapes his damn son. Needless to say, I promptly turned it off.

+1 on the blob. The original black and white version. When all the elementary school kids were getting in trouble playing on construction sites where I grew up in Virginia - I was nowhere around. First thing they do is dig big holes for the basements. Blobs start out in big holes.

My parents brought me to see Time Bandits because they thought Raiders would be too scary for me. The last scene freaked me out for a while. Pure evil.

Very much this. And the music in that movie still gets to me.

A buddy of mine always says this is his favorite film when asked.

He's never actually seen it of course, and most people have no idea what he's talking about. I read the Wiki synopsis, and I was actually offended.

this. gross stuff doesn't get to me, but this scene just makes me so uncomfortable every time. it's like he gets "raped" slowly by the blade and he can't do anything about it.

When I was a kid I saw this 70's movie The Bermuda Depths. Something about that giant turtle that freaked me out. Didn't help I was staying at the beach that weekend. Weird arse movie.

Michael Haneke's Funny Games. Never saw the original - don't really want to either.

this was my breaking point of hostel too. as with a previous poster, the blob freaked me out when i was a kid also.

any type of cruelty to animals(especially dogs or cats) really disturbs me, as well as anything having to do with eyes(event horizon, etc.)
