I remember skipping classes in college to watch Bravo reruns of West Wing. You could probably force me to watch the same season over and over for a week and I wouldn't really get tired of it.

Characters are great, it's well shot, it's wayyyyyyy too smart for modern network TV, and it's plenty entertaining. Probably my favorite TV show ever.

I think "Ways and Means" might be the most tightly scripted and paced TV episode I have ever watched. Just brilliant story telling and acting.

I've been addicted to TV my whole life (like any of you fine people!) and West Wing represents a watershed moment for me. It came out when I was a sophomore in High School, growing up, young-adulting like a mofo, and it was the first time I really got invested, i was experiencing something instead of just watching a tv show. It never talked down to the audience, it assumed we were as smart as it was and went from there. It was the first and to this date only series I "made plans" for. I wouldn't do anything sunday nights (later tuesday) and if I did then the VCR was set up to record (old man take a look at your life). Never missed a first run episode, and like many of you rewatch all the time. I can't imagine having another answer to the question "what's your favorite tv show?"

I just re-watched the whole thing for fun. It is eminently re watchable. I loved 20 Hours in America and the 25th Amendment storylines.

I'm not as devoted as many of you, but it's difficult to think of a show with a stronger supporting cast.

Definitely wanted to marry Ainsley Hayes.

I'm on my fourth consecutive viewing. I think my wife is going to stage an intervention.

I agree with you that there is something late in the series that I absolutely hate about the show. Not sure if we are talking about the same thing but I'd bet we are.

Not really SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

Without saying who. The VP candidate was absurd for 2 evident reasons.

Late season CJ was also a not believable.

I get why they did that with her instead of the obvious choice because they wanted to move the story towards the future, but it just didn't work.

Having said that, I still like the late seasons and would have enjoyed additional years.

This wasn't what I was talking about but one of the most unbelievable things in the whole show.

Its the thing with the leak that gets a certain main character in trouble. I fricking hate hate HATED that.

How many of you would vote for Jed Bartlet if he was a real candidate running for President today?

I would have enjoyed at least one season with the new President and his staff, which there was talks to do, until John Spencer died and then everyone had just had enough.

One of my friends loves it. I tried watching the first episode or two, and I got bored with it. It just didn't grab my attention. I might have liked it if I had given myself enough time to learn the characters. On first impression it seemed too clean to me.
