re: The Voice--Season 6 thread

Watching now.

Josh/Austin. Maybe it's be, but I was kinda bored with this one. I feel like Josh won this one. Good call.

Adam attention whoring while Shakira is talking. Of course.

Audra/Duo. This one is close I think, but I'd go with Audra. She is better overall than Alaska and Madi. Good call, Blake. Interesting that nobody stole the duo.

Carson just called Shakira "Shak" and now I want to punch him in the face more than ever.

Sometimes I wonder if the contestants really know who the coaches' advisors are. If I walked in and saw The Band Perry I wouldn't have the slightest clue who they are. Same with Adam's dude (though I do know his famous song).

Deja/Music Box (wtf?). I don't remember MB at all, so I feel like they skipped through her blind. I already want her to lose because of "Music Box." Love the song choice. I can actually sing the frick out of that song. I think Deja should win. I'm surprised and disappointed that neither of them took the high road with the notes (Susanna Hoffs wins ). I feel like Ursh will steal Deja if she doesn't win. Well...he just said as much. I'm surprised he stole Music Box...she wasn't great IMO. Maybe he wants to bang.

Madilyn/Tanner. I really like Usher as a coach. I dig the little exercises he keeps giving his people. I feel like he cares. How has this cute 16 year old girl never been in a relationship? I thought they sounded really well, even if they were a little nervous. I like Tanner, but I think Madilyn won. Good call, Ursh.

Duo2/Josh. I like the Steelers Wheel song, but don't feel like it's a good choice for something like this. And they're singing most of the song all three of them together. Weird. I think this is an easy Josh win though. That duo is nothing special at all IMO. Can't believe Adam went with Dawn and Hawkes. Stupid decision. Hope Josh gets stolen........BOOM. Shakira, nice.

Bria/Tess. Going into this one, I'm thinking Bria all the way. Her blind audition was sick. And the Joplin song suits her really well. Tess sounds good, but Bria is on another level and could win the show IMO. I'm thinking Bria will win and Tess could get stolen (since this is the final battle tonight). BOOM, Blake.

Strike three for Carson. Usher: "Something special happened, Tess. You made me proud." Carson: *dumbest "are you fricking kidding me?" look ever (picture evidence forthcoming)

To be fair, he is 19 and she is 16. I hardly knew any people younger than me at my high school. It's cool that they're both literally from the same place though.

Only really got into the first and last performances last night. Everything else was pretty meh.

I'm on team, I-hate-Carson-because-he's-a-douche also.


And, lately I've been supremely annoyed with the battle contestant announcements.

"The indie pop single father from New York"

"The rocker chick from Des Moines"

"The family man from Albuquerque"


I'm almost expecting to hear one night, "The stripper with a heart of gold..."

Yeah for that one girl it was "the former NFL cheerleader". Congrats?
