quote:True, but superhuman strength, telekinesis, superhuman speed, the list goes on and on for Darkseid. Take the Omega Beam out and you still have one of the strongest villains in comics.
That's not bad. And Omega Beams still have no effect since regardless of power level he still isn't organism.

and no matter what, bad match ups were going to happen.
Exactly. Magneto has won three matches in a total of 10 seconds tops. Unfortunate. Easiest road to the finals yet. Regardless of how good he is, he would have lost to Darkseid, Apocalypse, or even someone like Black Adam in round 1. It's just unlucky.
Same for this match. Darkseid against anyone but Mephisto, Apocalypse or possibly Thanos would have been a Darkseid win. Easily. It just didn't happen that way. And he got the worst match up possible.

Like I said Mephisto gains power when evil is around
quote:with Darkseid around Mephisto would have plenty of Power to win
Darkseid is considered to be the negative charge of the universe. He is the evil that keeps balance in the universe.

Mephisto is powered by Darkseid's evil, you do realize that?
Mephisto also has a "base" level of power that is beyond Darkseid. When the definition says Mephisto weakens, he weakns from being extraordinarily powerful to being extremely powerful. He doesn't suddenly become a human.

I said my peace. I gave my opinion. This was fun.

Sure. So still not open to changing that vote? Regardless of everything telling you you should?

Well...
To be fair, he has smashed Apocalypse twice one on one.
He is Omega Level, Much like Ice Man. To be fair I would say the only people who could beat him or left in the tournament, which to me speaks as to why it has worked.

That's quite damning.

If it makes you feel better, it was a really close battle.
I mean Cable, arguably one of the most powerful beings in the universe capable of taking out all of the remaining Marvel Characters left in the villain bracket (except Thanos probable) lost to Wonder Woman. I'm sorry, I do not except that.
Nature of the beast though.

Agreed. But in a straight up fight, I would find it hard to vote for Magneto over Apoc, one of those victories was a writer's tool more than anything else.

The best I can do for you, inside his realm, Mephisto wins. Outside, Darkseid wins. OP, take the vote how you will.

So mad at that. Omega Red is such a unique villain.

Naaa, Cable would get smashed by WW. I voted for Cable first, but after thinking about it, WW would destroy him quickly.
At least for me in this, it's about who would really win, I think some people *coughcough* are treating it differently.

But in a straight up fight
But it was.
World of M.
Magneto and Apocalypse battled straight up one on one. Magneto was able to defeat him, Apocalypse surrendered and submitted to his rule.
I think Thanos and Apocalypse are overrated. While they are incredibly strong, usually they are using some sort of implement to strengthen their powers, are using lackeys.

Except that the OP clearly states the rules, which have no declarations of realm, that's to assume that everyone has access to what makes them powerful but not things that make them more powerful.
AND you're characterizing the realm wrong, and Mephisto's relation to it. We've already posted this.
You're changing the rules to support your vote for Darkseid which means that you KNOW if you voted by the rules you believe Mephisto should win.

Tactical genius, omega level psychic, omega level telekinisis, ability to teleport, ability to time travel. A myriad of weapons.
Fought Silver Surfer to a stand still without really trying. Even Professor X called him one of the most powerful being in the universe at the point where his powers were maxed out. So powerful in fact that he was debating whether or not he should change the world.
WW is nice, but no one she cannot hang with Cable at full strength. To be fair, not many would.
