Office still reigns as my favorite season finale. It was perfect. My wife didn't watch the show and it aired not long after we moved in together. I remember her asking what I was smiling about and just saying it was like a perfect goodbye to a group of friends I knew I wouldn't be seeing anymore.

couldn't that be considered kinda of a big spoiler?

That season finale aired in 2005. I think the statute of limitations has passed for that spoiler.

ETA: I do agree though that this thread is not the place to be bringing up those specifics.

I enjoyed the Office finale a lot considering how much I disliked the way the latter seasons went.

I agree, it's been off a long time.

Just saying someone coming into a thread about the office probably wouldn't expect to see how the last few minutes of SFU ends.

Doesn't affect me personally, just looking out for others!

They really did do a great job with that. Considering how bad the later seasons were (relatively speaking) it was a solid finale. Creed was great. It's a shame how they ruined Andy's character though.

The last season was actually solid. Not on par with the first few but definitely an upgrade over the previous few.

Michael's return was perfect. I think Carell stated that Michael had already had his finale and didn't want to take away from everyone else's.

If people haven't seen the show that's kind of a big giveaway for what happens in the last 10 minutes.

then that person probably shouldn't click on a thread titled "The Office Finale"

I didn't really think about it. Just knowing that one thing doesn't really give you any idea of what actually happens and it's been off the air for a long time. However, I've had stuff spoiled for me on here and I hate it so I edited that out.

Wait....someone who has never seen six feet under should know ahead of time not to click on a thread about the office?

That's quite a leap there..

Aaaand there it is...
The good news is that SFU is still worth the watch even with knowing the outcome.

Given the spin off show The Farm ever moving into production and the drastic change The Hangover film had on shifting Andy's character, I wonder what the original plans of the finale would have been.

I'll ask the question here instead of starting another thread:

Did we ever find out who the Scranton Strangler was? I remember there were rumors leading up to the last season and the finale that we would find out. I think the two most likely suspects were always Gabe and Toby, but I don't remember ever finding out.

I was never a fan of Andy becoming a more prominent character in the show. He was great as the eager try hard with anger management issues.
