This movie was the biggest surprise of 2016 for me. Excellent movie. Crowe and Gosling's comedic chops are outstanding. Keith David is also great in his small role.

I was reluctant to see it because the previews made it look like a cliche-ridden clownshow but man did I misread that.

This is probably common knowledge on this board but I highly recommend it. Top 5 flick from last year IMO. Just fun from start to finish. I'd love these two to do more action buddy flicks, they have great chemistry.

I think it might be mine too. In competition. With The Revenant ( I loved this movie, don't care about the Leo hate or the gripes about Hardy's mumbling) and Swiss Army Man.

Legit funny-arse roles from Crowe and Gosling. The stall scene

Gosling is a surprisingly adept physical comedian. And Crowe plays the straight man so well. I was joking with a buddy about how great a Starsky and Hutch/The Nice Guys crossover would be.

My wife and I absolutely loved it. You are spot on with their comedic chops. Their chemistry really stood out

My favorite movie in the last year or two.

So good.

Sad that it didn't get it's due.

Don't get the love. Thought it started out terrible and hoped it would get better. It only got worse.

I laughed harder at this movie than any I've seen in a while. Gosling's reaction when he rolled down the hill and found the body had me rolling, great tip of the hat to Abbott and Costello.

He's great. No other way to put it. He has a few lines trying to be "hard" in La La Land that are goddamn hilarious. He's become me favorite actor for his ability to make small talk/dumb jokes really, really relatable.

As huge an actor as he is, he can really sell being a normal dude.

really good movie, i had high expectations but waited til it was on HBO to watch it. it was a great watch, i'll watch it again. i feel like it flew under the radar cuz a lot of guys dont wanna watch movies featuring ryan gosling, i thought he was great in it. Crowe is a legend. sucks it didnt make more money cuz i would like more movies like it.

i really really liked it, but if you haven't seen kiss kiss, bang bang, go track that down, shane black's first movie similar in tone to the good guys with robert downey jr. & val kilmer.

I actually prefer kiss kiss, bang bang. but the good guys was a hell of a lot of fun.

This is Shane Black's best movie since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. And a lot of it is Gosling, who just killed it in this movie. He's so wonderfully devoid of anything resembling a positive characteristic. And he is really funny when getting beaten up. The bathroom scene is so great.

I loved the hell out this movie, and its one of my prime examples when people complain that Hollywood doesn't make original films. Yes, they do. Go see them.
