Just saw it. Badass it was. Grown men were tearing up in the theater. The muppets are back baby.

It's definitely nostalgic and the prouction itself should be respected. I just don't see how adults can sit there and laugh out loud. I liked He-Man as a kid but I'm not going to sit here and pretend Skeletor still scares me because he doesnt.

Well, there's a huge difference between He-Man and the Muppets -- one is good and one isn't. Sorry, I loved Thundercats as a kid, but I also know it's a terrible show now. The Muppets were always great. I do think there's a feeling among adults to not watch anything that might appeal to a child in order to seem more adult.

Screw that noise. Some things may be children's entertainment, but are simply good. The films of Pixar are another a good example. The Muppets aren't beloved because of nostalgia, they are beloved because the movies, and the TV show especially, really hold up. They are simply good. I'm hoping the movie lives up to the quality of the brand.

Im not saying its not good. It's just not funny. It's entertaining clever, as i said in my first post. But it's not as funny as it was when i was a kid.

Well, I have with my nephew. No, I didn't enjoy it because Elmo is obnoxious.

And I think it's really funny. I pointed specifically to the Steve Martin dinner scene in the Muppet Movie which is laugh out loud funny. As is pretty much anything Beaker and Dr. Honeydew do (please don't say that sentence out loud).

And Sam the Eagle as well as Statler and Waldorf crack my shite up.

Sesame Street has a completely different approach and intention than the Muppets.

I'm not reading this whole thread to find out if it's worth my time. So somebody speak up about what we really have been wanting to see all these years?

Does Piggy take her top off? Does Kermie finally get to hit that?

My wife of 20 years has just informed me that she was never a fan of the Muppets or The Muppet Show.

Should I divorce her, or kill her?

Statler and Waldolf are awesome in Muppets 4D but the Sweedish chef steals the show at the end. I love his character.

My wife and I enjoyed the movie. My 4 year old had a good time too. It was good to see the Muppets again, I hadn't seen the show in a decade or more and just as soon as I saw the characters the memories started coming back.

Very clever movie and worth the cost of a movie ticket if you're from the Muppet generation. It's also good to see a movie that makes you laugh without being vulgar.

Well they got married in Muppets Take Manhattan.

So unless a frog and a pig cant mate, which is a good possibility, theyve been doing it for a while now.
