I crossed it today and picked it up. I just finished reading Band of Brothers and needed something else at work to pass the time.

I heard good things about the movie from here. How did the M/TVB like the book? Im just starting it but it seems interesting so far.

i enjoyed the heck out of the book. great read for a first time writer who was giving it away a few years ago. i hope they keep his sarcasm and sense of humor in the movie, because it really made the book a better read to be honest.

i kinda hate that they cast Matt Damon, but it makes sense.

Just finished listening to the audiobook today. Great listen/read, and it's not the type of stuff I'd normally seek out.

I agree as well. Really enjoyed the book. Think I finished it in 2 or 3 days

His new book is coming out soon. It's more classic scifi though.

The book was surprisingly funny and good use of sarcasm.

I picked it up on release a few years ago. I liked it. Not the greatest piece of science fiction but a solid effort. Some of the science was unrealistic and shallow. Glad it is getting a movie.

Yep. Reading it now and halfway through. Pretty good so far, even though the majority of the book is him fixing the capsule

I like the Matt Damon cast. Who would be better in your opinion?

I'm opposite. I thought it was one of the most entertaining audible books I've ever listened to.

Loved the book. Hate Matt Damon.

I wasn't overly impressed with the book. I think the movie will be better than the book.

I liked it, was a quick read. Interesting subjects and it seems like everything he did, could be done.

I'm surprised by how many people audio book. I've never really tried to listen to books, but I spend hours every day driving around, could definitely listen to books instead of sat radio.
I always thought it was for non-readers.

I am a huge sucker for smart arse protoganists and reference based humor, so I am a pretty big fan of the book.

"I wonder what NASA would think about me fricking with the RTG like this. They'd probably hide under their desks and cuddle with their slide rules for comfort."

"NASA, however, is absolutely shitting itself. To them, equipment failure is terrifying. To me, it's "Tuesday.""

"I admit its fatally dangerous.

But consider this: I'd get to fly around like Iron Man."

I find I can't follow audio books as well.

I think I'm just so attuned to radio to be background white noise, and I have to make an effort to focus to keep up with what is happening in the novel.
