Just going to give my general impression.

I caught an advanced showing of The Martian last night and came away impressed.

I thought The Martian was very well done and kept my attention throughout. Matt Damon did a good job of interjecting humor in a tense situation.

The Sci-fi aspects of the film will be fun to debate once everyone sees the film.

Has anyone else see it? There were 2 full theaters in NOLA last night.

Good to hear. Really no reason for the book readers caveat, though. I mean:

That's the entire book.

Just wanted full disclosure.

I heard humor was central to the book and was adapted well. IMO

It was more "fun" than some of the deeper/complex (Interstellar) films in the genre.

Currently reading the book and love the sarcastic humor! I'm sure people have other actors in mind besides Damon but I think he's a fine choice.
