He could/should be. I know Elba would be amazing, and I'm a bigger fan of his than I am of Cavill, but Cavill is over 10 years younger. I guess it would be a risk for the future of the franchise: do you want the for sure best guy for the job for 3 or 4 movies, or a great choice that could last 7 to 9 movies?

I just don't see the Bond producers wanting to have Superman as 007.

True, but if the money is similar, I'd go with Bond if I were Cavill. The last two non-writers strike Bonds have been great. Also, if he wants to work the Bond thing as long as possible, a 45-50 year old Bond is much more believable than a 45-50 year old Superman. More longterm money in that role, and I think it's more prestigious.

Hope it as good as the trailer. Was my fave tv show back in the day. A franchise could be being born... or not.
