People should really get an idea of what they are going to get in a show from its pilot. Because their persistent bitching after every episode gets annoying in season threads like this.

you kidding?
it was predictable as frick. wins money, gets it stolen, gets back just in time to buy his church back but gets assaulted on the way.
hell, during the dream sequence, i looked at my s/o and said "bet he regains consciousness after the banks closes." when he woke up in a hospital, it was obvious that it was days later.
and when the bank said they had a buyer, it was pretty obvious that it was going to be the GR.
the show is dry, and i understand how people feel no connection to any of the characters. there is too damn many of them for this early in the series.

Any idea why the chief's dad left him that money? Also, the note was on a judge's paper claiming him of taking bribes, is that why he removed the street signs later, cause the judge was guilty?
I am enjoying the show so far, weird as shite but it is keeping me entertained.
