It's the first time outside of season one it has been mentioned, but it was featured toward the end of episode 9 of season one. It shows her in the doctor's office, watching the ultrasound.

Oh damn I don't remember that at all

After sleeping on it from last night, my biggest question from the episode is "What was Kevin Sr. doing with that bag of shoes in the very beginning?"
Were those the shoes from when Grace's kids went missing?
However, the Last Supper scene was amazing. Laurie really was Judas.
I also liked how John and Grace wanted Kevin to be real just to let Evie know she was loved and to ask about the shoes. Nothing selfish.

Did it get significantly better in season 2,
It's almost a entirely different show in a good sense. It gets way better. Season 1 followed the book plot and Season 2 was written by Lindelof and the original author.
It's significantly better in season 2.

Grace collects shoes from surrounding charities and brings them home to see if any belong to her kids. She was shown with charity bags like that one an earlier episode, when she was looking beneath shoe tongues for her kids' written names.

Ah.
Thanks.

Right now my main question is if Laurie killed herself, or if she just went scuba diving.
Or if she meant to kill herself, but then changed her mind like she did at the start of the episode.
I don't know, but one way or another, I expect to see her again. I think they've hinted that she and Matt will eventually have sex.

I'm interesting in finding out what the deal is with the missing shoes.

what the hell....they will never tie up all the loose ends in just 2 shows
You're right. But I think they have a trick up their sleeve.

Laurie had every intention of killing herself. That is why she let Kevin keep her lighter after fighting Nora for it earlier. Pretty sure she is dead. I don't think they would troll us like that.

Think about this. You are about to have Nora (maybe, she could be the exception if she uses the machine and it ACTUALLY departs her), Laurie, Meg, Evie, Burton, Christopher Sunday, Dean (dog killer), the guy on the tower in Jarden at the very least all potentially in the Hotel that Kevin is about to go to (assuming it all goes that way)
If they do have an international assassin episode in the remaining two, it is going to be hella interesting.

Laurie is dead. If we see her again, it will be in the "after-life"
The Judas parallels were great... Tells Jill "I'm just hanging around" ... kisses Kevin on the cheek before she leaves... then of course the suicide
If I would've told you the 3rd to final episode of the series was going to based around Laurie, most would've been disappointed and pessimistic... But it was done beautifully and I think is right up there as one of the best, emotional episodes of the series (which is an all too commonly used hyperbole after each episode)

Gotta say I just did not enjoy last night's episode. Lots of filler and some bad writing (why is John Murphy still around?). Would be a weak way for Nora to leave but I'm sure we're not done with her yet.
This and the last episode were very meh. Hope they step things back up.

Nora is by far my favorite character on the show.

Oh, yeah, I agree that she intended to kill herself. And I don't discount the possibility that she's dead. But weird things happen on this show. I have to think that the reason Kevin continues to resurrect is because he is not yet in position to save the world. He is the Christ figure of the story. For all we know, Laurie has some important destiny of her own, and I expect she does.

I do and dont want another international assassin episode. I would love nothing more than to see it again, but I also think the original might be a top 3 episode in TV history for me so I dont want to mess it up.

FWIW she was in the scenes for next week's episode.
Not that it means much.

I agree but they went back to it at the end after he got shot so it wasn't limited to one episode.

Well, in season two, Kevin needed someone to guide him through the afterlife. Perhaps Laurie will help guide him and see to it that he returns.
At this point, I'm unsure of almost everything, and that makes me happy.

Yea but that was just the first time, and it also backfired. He didn't get help from the guide, but yet Kevin SR on drugs in australia. The "guiding" Virgil was supposed to do actually ended up being a ruse.
After John shot him he was able to get through by himself (with the help of Burton nudging him)
Also, Laurie 100% doesnt believe in any of this stuff. If she is there at all she will not know what to do. He needs Kevin SR with him, and I think he somehow ends up communicating again like the drugs/hotel scene.
