Nora is by far my favorite character on the show.

Nora started out okay but in this season she has been a total c-unt.

I loved the Matt vs. Burton sequence. Here is what I took from it.
This was the moment that shows Matt really does know what is happening. He seems to be a guy that is looking for signs from God at all times. When you are constantly looking for these signs it is easy to be fooled. So this was Matt's test, is he really on the right path or would he be looking so hard for signs that he would fall for a false prophet? The false prophet even threw in that he could save Matt just for added enticement.
We see Matt the next morning and it becomes clear that Matt was not fooled as he admits he is dying. The false prophet is slain by a lion for failing to deceive a wise man.

I like where you are going with that but then why would Matt submit to Burton and allow him to "heal" him? Seems like he would not go that far.

Maybe giving him enough rope to hang himself. He was ate by a lion the very next day.

I think Matt was believing until Burton went so far to say he would heal him...with the snap of Burton's fingers, Matt's suspicions were turned into reality.
Matt's character has been getting a lot stronger this series.

Please explain. While you're at it go ahead and explain the rest of the show for us.

Maybe, I think his main purpose was to herd his sheep( the disciples) to the ranch where Kevin is. Burton was his last test to be lead astray. He passed. I think his mission is accomplished.

There was a beautiful finality to Laurie's story that would be cheapened by her being featured in the final 2 episodes. She may make a brief cameo, but I'd imagine we've seen the last of her.

I thought the episode was decent til the end, where it became really powerful. That piano tune gets me every time. The writers definitely know how to close out an episode.
No idea where the next two episodes will lead, but I'm excited.

what the hell....they will never tie up all the loose ends in just 2 shows
Feels like each subplot is close to the end, no?

the only arcs they havent completed totally are kevin's (SR and JR),and nora's, and they are going to tie those up in the next two episodes.
gotta think they pull it off IMO.

im just ready to see what the heck is going on in the flash forward with Sister Nora?

What are John and the son's role in the show? Witnesses? They don't really contribute to anything going on.

Token black characters, you also had a magical negro who shot himself to help a white guy he hardly knew.

I loved that scene so much that I wonder if I'll wish they made it the final scene. Obviously I'll have to see how it closes, maybe it'll surpass that.

Lots of filler and some bad writing (why is John Murphy still around?)
what was filler, exactly?
And Jon will matter a lot when it's all said and done. We still haven't seen how he responds to the notion that Evie was alive, and now Laurie has killed herself. Jon will also play a role in the drowning of Kevin.
