Looks so abysmally bad, yet there is so much unintentional comedy in the trailer alone.

I'll never forgive Will and Jada for allowing their son to be a part of this abortion.

Jackie Chan beating up 12 year olds just seems like an uncomfortable scene.

I took a look at the Trailer. ONe question: When do they start doing Karate? All I saw was Kung-Fu.

By making a shittier version of the original shitty movie?

Movies aimed at kids you watched new as a kid are almost never as good 20 years later. The point is I liked it then, and "remimagining it" pisses me off for reasons I can't fully explain.

at the stereotypical song with the guy from linkin park. Must that be in every movie with a minority as the lead role? And who wants to watch little kids fight? Looks lame.

I've seen that song played in at least 4 trailers over the past year with stories similar to this i.e. a minority or a street kid facing a ton of adversity and overcoming it.

I'll admit to getting krunk during the part when Jackie Chan tells him to take off his jacket and put it back on.

In the Karate Kid II, didn't Miyagi tell Daniel one of his ancestors was washed up on mainland China and brought karate back to Okinawa from there?

dude i'm 97% percent sure you are at least partially correct...its when they are first in okinawa and daniel is fricking around with that big swinging pendulum razor blade death trap

For Realz?

I'll try and be open-minded about it, but it looks rough. Trailer got cooler toward the end, but a little kid version doesn't look as cool.
