Would a 5 year old like it?

Honestly, Shere Khan may be a bit too violent and frightening for the kids. He's much more intimidating in this version than he was in the animated version. I'd say wait til he's 7.

I think a 5 year old would be ok except for two jump scares which don't fit into the movie at all. There were kids of all ages in the theater and I was thinking this screaming would be miserable but once the movie started they all shut up and watched intently.

Has anyone seen it in 3D? Is it worth seeing in 3D?

The 11:30 showing was for 2d. I'm not going to be able to see weekday matinee movies for 6:50 anymore

It was good. Took the family to 5pm showing and enjoyed it. Couple parts made the 6 years old nervous but all good in the end

Early screening? I saw it in the '60s.

I'll try to remember to come join the discussion on this board (not that anyone was breathlessly awaiting it ) afterwards.

Been awhile since I've been on account of wifey not being around. Went to see Zootopia last week (it was fantastic), so I guess we're easing back into movie dates with Disney movies

The movie was amazing. my only complaint is of the retarded parents who bring infants or <4yo to the damn movie. WTF is the point?

and honestly for this movie I would say 6+

the tiger is pretty badass and I didn't like hearing kids whine like little punks.

I even went at 815pm showing trying to avoid the little kids and the bastards were still there.

You sound like a petulant only child.

Heaven forbid families go see a family movie.

I'm rewatch ing the 1994 version now and that's still one of my favorites. If you haven't seen it, you should. That is definitely a reimagining and dealing more with his joint man's world and that was also dark but awesome nonetheless. And all the animals are real.
